We build our own products, and take the same team into client work.

Sembling was founded in 2024 in London by Yann Ashuach. We build and run our own platforms, such as Bobloc for parametric pattern-making and Comade for creative collaboration. Alongside them, we take on commissioned platforms for clients.

Sembling grew out of the Innovation Design Engineering programme at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, and out of years of building for the fashion industry, from manufacturing R&D at luxury label Chez Vidalenc to drafting engines used by working pattern-makers today.

Our work has been selected for the Roundhouse Accelerator and Imperial College's Experts in Residence programme. Pilots have been run with staff at the RCA, Central Saint Martins, Roundhouse and Blue Garage.
